What is Periodontitis?

A serious gum infection that damages soft tissue and destroys the bone supporting teeth.
Periodontitis is a severe form of gum disease that damages the soft tissue and, without treatment, can destroy the alveolar bone that supports your teeth. It starts as gingivitis (gum inflammation) and progresses when left untreated. Symptoms include bleeding gums, loose teeth, and bad breath.
